I apologize to those of you who wind up seeing this multiple times, but I have people who only see this in one place.
Brimstone Howl comes off strong with Guts of Steel. The best way to describe their sound is to imagine the Ramones having a head-on collision with the Beatles. They're spunky, energetic, young, and don't give a damn. You can hear all of this on Guts of Steel, especially on "Cyclone Boy" and "I'm a Man."
The thing I love most about this album is that it sounds like it was recorded straight out of a garage. Brimstone Howl epitomizes how a good garage band should sound. They're fast, energetic, and a tad bit sloppy, although it's the kind of sloppy that makes you want to jump around a dance floor. The guitar makes its presence known, remaining slightly dominant over the vocals, but not so dominant that you can't understand what the lyrics are. The bass and drums are solid, doing their job in making your foot tap. The only way I can describe the vocals is Jim Morrison joining a punk band, and swallowing his pride on the lyrics front.
All in all, while Guts of Steel is a fast paced album, keeping its energy through most of its tracks, it does have its slow moments. "Six and Seven" feels like an intermission between the head-bobbing, fist-pumping halves. It doesn't kill the attitude of the album at all. I wouldn't call the lyrics deep in any way, but what they do well is catch your attention, and keep you going.
If you're a fan of fast-paced indie garage rock, I suggest finding this album somewhere.

Listen to the wind,
The snow that blows triumphed threw the lands of December.
For this is my time this is my world.
This is my spirit that wanders.
Threw the howls of the December snows to the calm of the January nights this is my time.

And if there was a way to reach you, would you let me? Can I be your only love, your only wish? You devastate me; you know that I am only yours.

Cut me some slack. I just found out that only I can prevent forest fires, and that's a lot of pressure.
